16yr old rape goes viral on social media: "No human being deserves this"

This is so wrong and heartbreaking to see. A 16 year old Texas girl named Jada (pictured left) has spoken out for the first time after photos of her unconscious naked body went viral online after she was drugged and raped at a party with her fellow high-schoolers.

Some sick people mimicked Jada's pose by taking photos copying the position of her limp body splayed out on the floor and posting them to Twitter and Vine using the hashtag '#jadapose'. (pictured right). How sick is this?

The victim decided to talk about the attack in an interview with KHOU on Tuesday night; "I’m just angry,” Jada said. According to Jada, she was invited to a party at a fellow high schooler’s house. Lagos Police command arrests armed robbers using police uniforms

Four armed robbers who specialize in robbing with police uniforms have been arrested and paraded by the Lagos state Police command. The four men named Julius George, Samuel Orgah, Lucky Oliseh and Lucky Friday were arrested by the police force at the Ile Zik area on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway on the 22nd of June Punch reports.

From their confessions, it was gathered that other operations carried out by the gang included robbing a trailer load of rice at Oju-Elegba area worth N4.5m and a tanker carrying engine oil worth N11m. They were arrested during the Ile Zik area operation, which was said to be their fourth operation, and involving about N8m. Continue...

When it was first reported, people thought it was just rumour until talk-show host Ellen Degeneres confirmed it via twitter. Yes ladies, one of Hollywood's most eligible bachelors is going to be a daddy soon. Ryan Gosling, 33, and girlfriend of 3 years, beautiful actress Eva Mendes, 40, are expecting their first child. Eva, who hasn't been seen in public in months, is said to be seven months pregnant.
"Ryan grew up without a dad, so he always said when he had kids, he'd be there no matter what. This is it for him. While Ryan is fully committed to the relationship, he doesn't share his girlfriend's desire to settle down and get married. Pres. Jonathan nominates FRSC boss as minister, to replace Stella Oduah

President Jonathan has nominated the current boss of the Federal Road Safety Commission FRSC, 43 year old Ositadinma Benjamin Chidoka as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to represent Anambra in the Federal Executive council.

According to reports, Chidoka is most likely to replace former Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah who resigned her position in February. A letter of his nomination has been sent to the Nigerian Senate and would be read on the floor of the Senate today. Abubakar Olanrewaju from Kwara state was also nominated and would replace former Sports minister, Bolaji Abdullahi, in the Federal Executive Council if confirmed by the senate.

The Department of State Security today July 10th paraded 6 men who allegedly kidnapped the 70year old uncle of President Jonathan, Nitabai Inengite, in Bayelsa state on Feb 23rd.

The names of the six men paraded are; Eldred Magnus Johnah, Raphael Inengesi Abobo, Ibeabuchi Inya, Oreva Abridi, Tammy Tamarapreye Agbai and Felix Onuoha, a native doctor.

Newly completed school hall in Osun state due for commissioning on Friday collapses

A newly completed hall built by the Osun State government inside Ejigbo High School in Ejigbo, Osun state has collapsed. The building collapsed around 6am yesterday July 9th as workers were putting finishing touches to it in order to meet up with the Friday date for the commissioning.

The Federal Government on the July 9th said it has arrested some politicians over evidence of their ties with the dreaded terror sect, Boko haram.

Speaking at a news briefing at the National Information Centre Abuja, the Coordinator of the Joint Information Centre for Security, Mike Omeiri, said following the recent arrest of some members of Boko Haram in Bauchi and Borno states, some materials retrieved from them after detailed investigation had evidential links with the politicians they have arrested. FIFA suspends Nigeria

The world football governing body, FIFA, has suspended the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, with immediate effect from all activities in football. The suspension was announced in a statement released on their website this evening Wednesday July 9th.

FIFA said the suspension was due to government interference in football activities, particularly the controversial removal of the Aminu Maigari-led board of the NFF. A High Court sitting in Jos had on July 4th sacked Aminu Maigari and other executives from the board of the NFF. This suspension by FIFA means no Nigerian team or club can participate in any FIFA competition.

“As a result of this decision, no team from Nigeria of any sort (including clubs) can have any international sporting contact (art. 14 par. 3 of the FIFA Statutes),” FIFA said.

Taraba State Accountant-General arraigned For N1.56billion Fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission today arraigned the Taraba State Accountant – General, Joel Joseph Lenbang, before Justice Donatus Nwabueze Okorowo of the Federal High Court Jalingo for defrauding Taraba State Government to the tune of N1.56 billion. He was docked on an 8-count charge bordering on obtaining by false pretense, offenses contrary to and punishable under the Advanced Fee Fraud and Other Related Offences Act, 2006.

Soldiers rampage: Army states own side of the story, flays Soyinka

The Nigerian Army have released a statement explaining their side of what transpired last Friday July 4th where soldiers allegedly beat up some civilians and set some BRT buses ablaze.

The statement signed by Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, Lieutenant Colonel Omale Ochagwuba, says contrary to reports, the Lance Corporal killed by the BRT bus was driving on the main road used by other motorists and not on the lane reserved for the BRT buses.
